Was thinking of sending pictures to my father of all the kids he's fathered and the kids of the kids that he's fathered and realized that the list is long and unusual and eclectic and the tree has many branches - and it goes to show that family can be defined in many important ways and not all of those ways follow bloodlines - and for that I am thankful.

And this thought still holds true for me today. Thinking of all of the fathers in my life... Happy Father's Day.
